Description
This German propaganda leaflet was distributed during the Second World War in North Africa, mainly in areas under strong British influence such as Egypt. The front closely resembles a genuine British £1 banknote, complete with serial number, seal, and signature, designed to attract the finder's attention. The reverse, however, is printed with Arabic text spreading anti-British propaganda. The message aims to convince Arabic readers that Great Britain has lost its former power and wealth, and that the British pound is no longer valuable.
