This lot features an exceptional antique, pre-WWII split-finger leather baseball glove manufactured by the historic A.J. Reach Co. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Crafted from premium, heavy-duty brown horsehide or cowhide leather, the glove showcases classic early 20th-century craftsmanship including individual, unconnected split fingers and a sturdy web strap construction between the thumb and index finger. A key centerpiece for baseball historians, the adjustable wrist strap retains its highly coveted original "Button Back" setup, featuring a beautifully preserved brass-toned metal glove button stamped cleanly with the classic Reach script logo. Displaying rich visual character, the glove exhibits natural surface cracking, heavy pocket usage, and a seasoned dark patina that underscores decades of athletic heritage on the diamond.
