Designed by Vladimir Rybaltchenko, known as Rybal, and first issued in 1975, the Hermes Les Cavaliers d'Or scarf celebrates the intricate goldwork of the ancient Scythians. Created at the request of New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art to accompany an exhibition of Scythian art, the design draws on jewelry and ornamental objects reflecting the culture's equestrian and animal imagery.

Rendered in navy blue and gold with turquoise and black accents, this silk scarf features an elaborate crescent-shaped pectoral at its center, framed by overlapping necklaces, animal ornaments, and a figural comb. Shaded printed details evoke sculpted gold against the deep blue ground. The design title appears above the central composition, with the Hermes Paris signature below and the Rybal signature near the lower right.
