A richly layered and romantic composition titled Toscana by contemporary artist Csaba Markus, created in 1996. Known for his Renaissance-inspired portraiture, Markus blends classical figuration with textured, contemporary surfaces in this evocative work.

The composition features multiple female figures integrated into a collage-like arrangement, set against a warm, gold-toned ground with layered architectural and decorative elements. The surface has a painterly quality, enhanced by hand embellishment, giving the work added depth and visual richness beyond a standard print.

This example is from a limited edition of 350 (323/350) and is hand-signed by the artist.

The piece is presented in a substantial gilded frame with neutral matting that complements the warm palette and enhances its presence as a statement work.
