Tom Welch autographed John F. Kennedy memorial First Day of Issue cover in black ink. The ArtCraft cachet cover commemorates the 1964 JFK 5¢ memorial stamp issue and features a portrait of President Kennedy above a memorial inscription and inaugural quotation. Postmarked May 29, 1964, in Boston, Massachusetts. The cover additionally features a block of four JFK memorial stamps.

Fine condition.

Provenance: From the collection of Edward Krohn, author of the “John F. Kennedy Cover Catalog.”

Tom Welch was a United States Secret Service agent who served during the Kennedy administration as part of the presidential protection detail. Welch worked within the White House security apparatus responsible for protecting President John F. Kennedy and supporting official presidential travel and events.
