ESTIMATED RETAIL PRICE: $400*

Designed by Dominik A. Jarlegant, the Hermes Face au Large scarf explores maritime travel through an imaginative collage of decorated ship bows, compass roses, globes, and navigational imagery. Overlapping rectangular panels depict ornate vessels and their sculptural figureheads, while sweeping circular forms and a winged figure lend the composition a dreamlike quality.

This Carre 90 appears to be crafted in silk twill, with a peach-beige and ivory ground framed by a blue border. Blue, yellow, orange, and pale green details define the ships and ornamental motifs, while diagonal bands create movement across the square. The Face au Large title is incorporated discreetly into the lower portion of the design.
