A striking 19th century ebonized English pine box, distinguished by its elegant proportions, refined details, and exceptional surface character.

This beautifully crafted box features hand-hewn joinery, visible evidence of its early construction and enduring quality. The ebonized finish has mellowed over time into a wonderfully worn surface, with soft rub-through, tonal variation, and a depth of patina that only comes from decades of use. Adding a graceful decorative note, the box is fitted with lovely swan neck brass handles, their warm glow offering a pleasing contrast against the darkened wood.

Hand selected in and imported from England, this piece offers a compelling blend of practicality and understated elegance. With its honest craftsmanship, rich patina, and adaptable form, it brings both function and quiet sophistication to a wide range of interiors.
