A gorgeous vintage modernist sculpture depicting an abstract female figure in fluid motion. Cast in bronze and mounted on its original polished black marble base, the work conveys elegance, strength, and momentum through a masterful interplay of elongated form, expressive contour, and negative space. Rather than depicting the body literally, the sculptor reduces the figure to its essential sculptural planes, creating a composition that feels simultaneously architectural and kinetic.

Executed with a sophisticated gallery aesthetic, the sculpture is fully modeled in the round, revealing compelling sculptural interest from every angle. The nuanced surface retains its original cast texture, catching light beautifully while emphasizing the expressive quality of the figure. The minimalist marble plinth provides a striking contrast to the organic form, creating a timeless presentation suitable for both contemporary and classic interiors.

While unsigned, the work reflects the vocabulary of late twentieth-century European and American modernist figurative sculpture, recalling the elegant abstractions associated with gallery artists working in bronze during the 1970s and 1980s. Its sculptural quality and distinctive silhouette make it equally compelling displayed on a pedestal, console, library shelf, or cocktail table.

A sophisticated statement piece for collectors of modernist sculpture, Organic Modern, Mid-Century Modern, Brutalist, or contemporary interiors.
