I love this so much and hurts me to sell. A truly exceptional and rare find - this stunning 41-inch starburst wall sculpture by celebrated mid century artists William and Bruce Friedle is a masterpiece of American brutalist design.
Hundreds of fine brass-toned wire rays radiate dramatically outward from a gorgeous hand-hammered enamel center medallion in rich amber and gold tones - a signature detail of the Friedle brothers' most sought-after work.
At 41 inches in diameter this is a large scale statement piece that commands any wall it graces. The craftsmanship is exceptional - every wire is intact, uniform and perfectly arranged, a testament to the quality and care of the original construction.
This piece embodies everything collectors love about mid century brutalist sculpture - raw material beauty, dramatic scale, and artistic integrity that transcends trends. It works beautifully in modern, Hollywood Regency, bohemian, and contemporary interiors.
A genuine collector's piece at an approachable price. These rarely come to market in this size and condition.
