Vintage Mid-Century Signed "Veg" California Landscape Oil Painting - Burdine Gallery Los Angeles

Description

Charming vintage original landscape painting depicting a rural American countryside with rolling fields, small farmhouses and a dramatic zigzagging split-rail fence extending across the foreground.
Painted with expressive, textural brushwork in warm autumnal shades of ochre, rust, red and green, the composition has a wonderfully nostalgic mid-century character. The strong graphic treatment of the weathered white fence gives the small painting particularly appealing visual depth.
Signed "VEG" at the lower left.
