Bring a powerful sculptural presence to your tabletop styling with this monumental mid-century modern studio art glass paperweight. Weighing in at an impressive, almost five pounds, this striking magnum orb features an expertly executed, mesmerizing pattern of controlled interior air bubbles (bullicante) suspended in flawless, water-clear crystal.
The piece displays exceptional post-war artisanal craftsmanship, highlighted by its distinctive base treatment: a wide, satin-ground flat perimeter ring for perfect stability, centered by a deeply recessed, beautifully fire-polished concave pontil mark. This specific structural finish is highly characteristic of premium mid-20th-century Scandinavian and British art glass houses.
A spectacular, heavy statement piece that captures and refracts light beautifully. Perfect for grounding a stack of art books, anchoring a mid-century office desk, or acting as a centerpiece on a sunlit console table.
