  • Tate Britain confirms that its David Hockney retrospective set a record for the most-visited exhibition ever held at the London gallery. The show attracted an average of 4,300 visitors per day, or a total of 478,082 visitors, between Feb. 9 and May 29, 2017. [Read more from The Standard]
  • A luxury Hermes handbag with 18K gold buckles and 205 diamonds on its strap loops has sold for a record $380,000. Produced in 2014, the bag was the object of a 15-minute bidding battle at Christie’s Hong Kong gallery. [Read more from CBS News]
  • Big-hearted Stones guitarist Keith Richards and his wife Patti Hansen are auctioning items from their Upper East Side Manhattan apartment to benefit two nonprofits that work with autistic adults.   • A tourist is suing the Planet Hollywood casino-hotel in Las Vegas for $10,000, claiming a life-size mannequin in his darkened room caused him to flee and suffer injuries. The plaintiff says he was “shocked and surprised” by the figure, mistaking it for a human being. Planet Hollywood responded that memorabilia has traditionally been part of their decor.
