NEW YORK – A vintage pin in the form of a jackrabbit, a colored diamond in a platinum ring setting, and a pair of Garavelli clip earrings will jockey for top-lot status at Jasper52’s Gems and Glamour: Fine Jewelry and Stones sale, which will be held on Tuesday, December 19, starting at 4 pm Eastern time. Absentee and Internet live bidding will be available through LiveAuctioneers.

The jackrabbit pin employs a natural South Sea pearl as the creature’s belly, and crafts the rest of its body from 18K yellow and white gold, .20 carats’ worth of natural round sapphires, and 1.10 carats of natural diamonds that possess H color and Si1 clarity. It carries an estimate of $5,000-$6,000.

The radiant-cut colored diamond at the center of the platinum ring setting weighs 3.12 carats, sports brown, green and yellow hues, and is attended by an additional carat’s worth of diamonds in marquise and baguette cuts. A GIA report is available for the colored diamond. The ring, which is size 6.5, is estimated at $62,000-$74,000.

Completing the highlights is a pair of clip earrings by Garavelli that feature 26 carats of natural green amethysts with .60 of a cart of brown diamonds, set in 18K gold. The estimate for the earrings is $5,000-$6,000.
