Description
Native American, Southwestern United States, Anasazi (Ancestral Puebloan), ca. 900 to 1300 CE. A pottery lade of utilitarian form created via the coil-and-scrape technique. The white ground implement features a petite "tail" on the end of the handle as well as dense, black-painted linear patterns around the upper walls of the scoop. Size: 9.1" L x 4.7" W x 1.8" H (23.1 cm x 11.9 cm x 4.6 cm)

Handle reattached to base of scoop with restoration only around joint; both scoop and handle are original. Abrasions and light fading to pigment. Nice preservation to most linear motifs.
