Order of Franz Joseph – a Breast Star 1st Class with war decorationFaceted breast star in silver, gold and enamel. A cross appliqué and crown elaborately worked in several layers on the front. The head mark with "A" and manufacturer's stamp "VM" (Vincenz Mayer) on the bottom at the back, the hallmarks "A", "A" on the slightly bulbous vertical pin. A round appliqué with the double-headed eagle in fine relief and the manufacturer's name "Vinc. Mayer's Söhne Wien", next to a "G", in the centre at the back. War decoration 8 ct. gold. A few minor chips in the black feathers, signs of age and wear. Width 8.9 cm, weight 109 g. A rare find in good condition.Condition: II
