This bronze sculpture by the German artist Richard Rother depicts a whistling man on a trotting horse in fully plastic execution.
The sculpture is signed and dated in the cast on the plinth ‘R. Rother 1919’. The surface of the patinated bronze is rubbed in places and shows some spots. The plinth is faintly chipped and shows some corrosion underneath. The overall dimensions are 30.5 x 33 x 10.5 cm (height x width x depth). (vsc)
