Six typed letters, with four signed "Sparse", two unsigned but with excellent content, 10 pages in total. The two unsigned letters are to Rancocas, (antiquarian bookseller, Aldridge Williams, who lived in Rancocas, New Jersey), topics discussed are: The rod maker, Dan Brenan; author, Ferris Greenslet passing away; a copy of "Fishless Days", which will be payment to a certain doctor; thoughts on some angling books; Nessmuk; rattle snake hunting, his son and bad backs; Neversink River fishing conditions. The signed letters cover an introduction letter to an "Arnold" in England asking him to be of assistance to Helen Shaw and her husband, while they are visiting England; the Sparse Grey Hackle fly by Helen Shaw; Seasons Greeting to Helen Shaw and her husband; offering for Alvin Grove and Hermann Kessler to use some of his material for magazine purposes; Additionally, a newspaper article from 1975 interviewing Sparse Grey Hackle and Louise Miller and her "Lady Beaverkill's Baked Bean" recipe is included in the article. Letters are Very Good plus or better with usual folds.
