A clear picture of a identifying mark on porcelain is a promise in itself that the product is from the period the mark indicates. Most Chinese porcelain claiming to be antique on the internet is a reproduction worth a fraction of what they are selling for just like a vase I bought from Converse that was about 20 years old according to a well known expert even though the mark indicated the vase was about 200 years old. Buyer beware all auctions on the internet. Like everyone trying to make a buck, Converse couldn't care less if they misrepresent their wares. They'll make an excuse that they didn't state the item was any age.

Top auction house

Buyer beware and all of that, but these coins were obviously fake, i. e. not silver. It wasn't that hard to test (they are magnetic). You're telling me an auction house like Converse isn't sophisticated enough to have performed this test? If they knew these were not silver, they could not have placed that in the description? Shady, very shady.
