From bidding to pickup, they made it easy for me.

This was my 1st time using liveauctioneers, so I was worried about how the process would work. However, Westport eased all my concerns because from purchase to pickup, they were responsive, helpful, and kind. I messaged when I was 30 minutes out from their warehouse location and they immediately responded to let me know the time would be ready to meet me. Once we got there, there warehouse team was as promised, expecting me, and quick to help us get our items. I purchased 3 lots in total from them and cannot wait to do more business with them and their team again!

Westport Auction has the best auctions. Their team is very responsive, replying within the day. The team at pickup are all very friendly. Items are always in great vintage condition.

There was a breakdown in communication between Westport, the shipping company, and myself. after several email exchanges the, miscommunication was resolved.

My four pottery items were as described and pictured. I used their in-house shipping, and it was absolutely excellent packing. Double boxed, and each of my four pottery items were carefully and fully wrapped. They were shipped together in one box, as I requested, and extra packing was placed between each item to keep items in place. I've had 100's of antiques and vintage items shipped to my home over the years, and I would place Westport's packing among the top few packing jobs ever. I was breaking a sweat by the time I finished unpacking everything! Note: I generally only purchase from auction houses utilizing in-house shipping, as does Westport, as it is generally cheaper (they don't usually charge hourly packing rates but do charge for materials). Westport's initial packing and shipping estimate was quite high (more in line with a contracted shipper), but I contacted them, and they did bring the estimate down to a more reasonable number. Would definitely buy from again.

Overall good experience with this auctioneer. However there should have been a clear indication from either them or live auctions that there will be a 4 % additional charge for credit card use above the buyer's fee.

From begining to even after I received the item I bought, Westport was professional and extremely helpful. Their inhouse shipping packaged my item perfectly and I hope the auction house gets more items in the future I need to have as I'm looking forward to doing more business with them.
