The painting’s estimates were exaggerated and totally out of wack with the value of the piece which in fact had no real value.

My experience with Golden Idol was excellent! Their responses to me and the co-ordination with UPS (Frank), in the cost to send and timely delivery, allayed any worries I might have had! I live in Australia so I'm "flying a little blind" with any purchases which I have delivered to friends in Alabama! Thank you all again!

in my opinion and after checking the bidding history ‚ Ä ò s of some items, it appears they are listed and relisted until they reach the highest bidding

It would have been nice if the images of the kaleidoscopes (which are what I bid on) had been larger and also more images of the interiors of the scopes would have been helpful. I also have some confusion over a bid I made on an antique Chinese kaleidoscope at an auction which was held in Spain about 2 weeks ago. I thought I was the winner but the only email I received, which unfortunately was deleted, said I was winning. I received no further correspondence. This is the description the auction house had of the kaleidoscope: "Calidoscopio chino en papel litografiado. Chinese kaleidoscope on lithographed paper. Length: 35, 5 cm. Long.: 3" I also have a few images of the instrument which I could include in a separate email. If someone could recognize the item, I would be most appreciative if they could inform me as to what had happened! My email is: ********** Jim

After the auction. It is best to send auction results once a day on the same day. I hope to understand. Thank you!

I'm very happy with the pieces that I bought, mainly the two Moser vases. They are beautiful.

I felt that the cost for shipping and insurance compared to the price of the item was simply ridiculous in how much it cost. Also, the woman who called me to explain my options was black and white in her answers meaning she was impersonable. I hope this helps. This was my first and only experience but I hope to have more.

Not noted in the online description, all four legs on the vase had been broken and repaired.

I've stopped using LiveAuctioneers because: The site seems to be the Amazon of the auctions game. There's a plethora of items for sale & most of them are either junk or prohibitively expensive (unlike Amazon listings). Many of LiveAuctioneers 'product postings are for the birds, & I've got stuck with way too much lousy junk on this site. This is very often due to lousy photos of the articles for sale on the site, but I've also encountered items that seem desirable in the posted photos, but turn out to be garbage when they arrive. In my opinion, LiveAuctioneers does very little or nothing to ensure that posted photos & item descriptions correspond to reality (which they often do not). The site strives to be as transparent & anonymous as possible, by steering clear of anything that could possibly make LiveAuctioneers seem responsible for anything. As far as I'm concerned, the company is simply a' middleman 'that combines the offerings of many other auction houses on its own site, which favors quantity rather than quality of goods. Something tells me that I won't be going back to the LiveAuctioneers anytime soon, & perhaps never at all.

they don't seem to be able to communicate via email, I sent them my correct email address, never heard from them about how to pay for the item I bought.
