Fantastic Packing Job!
I was a little concerned about shipping this 100 year old Gustav Becker clock. My wife and I started to drive from Fayetteville Georgia to Clements in Tennessee. We made it to Atlanta and said forget it. We turned back, oh the traffic. I don't know why people just can't stay home. I was biting my nails about shipping, how ever that still would be better than the traffic in Atlanta. When the clock showed up promptly at our house in Lake Park Ga. I was very pleased. I have never seen anything wrapped up so well other than an Egyption mummy. Hats off to the U. P. S. and Clements.

Do Not Trust Clements-They Misrepresent Their Items
This is the first time I have ever written a negative review of anyone I've done commerce with. I hope it saves you from making an expensive mistake like I made when I did business with Clements. I bought a large wall mirror that Clements advertised as having a giltwood frame (item title: "Chinese Chippendale Style Carved Giltwood Mirror by...") and their accompanying photo showed a beautiful gold finish on the frame. There no gilt/gold finish and, even worse, the wood was raw as if someone had cleaned it with some kind of chemical and stripped it (intentionally or not). Clements refused to make good and blamed me for relying on their description and photo, which turned out to be clearly misleading. In order to display the mirror, I had to pay a restorer to repair and refinish the frame and Clements rudely cut off communication with me when I asked them to help me with the cost of that. My advice: stay away from Clements; you cannot trust them.

We made sure to check back on these items since we hate for customers to leave our Auction House unsatisfied. After review we found that the condition you spoke of was listed in the description of the item. This was not something that happened post sale. It was plainly listed on the item when it was offered at auction for a month before you decided to place your bid on it. Regarding pick up-most smaller items are shipped with our local ups store. They were hesitant to ship such a fragile item as they are very difficult to pack however they were still willing to and offered suggestions for other white glove services. I see from your bill of lading that you picked up the item yourself and that was done by appointment because of the Covid pandemic. I am sorry that you have some buyer's remorse. We believe we acted ethically and honestly in our representation of these items for Auction. Thank you.
