I am happy with my experience and love the painting I received. I used their local UPS for shipping and they did a great job packing my fragile item promptly.

Everything is well documented and described. Great auction house to work with. Great customer service. Looking forward to another auction. Glad I found them.

They should teach other auction houses how to treat customers.

Their description of the item was very precise and they were very helpful to a first-time auction buyer. The staff was professional in all their dealings but also accessible and friendly. I am very happy with the entire experience. However, I do want to warn other first-time buyers to check out the shipping costs from any distance; I was surprised at the cost, even though it was worth it.

Both lots were as described; both transactions were completed to my satisfaction. Will bid again at a future auction

My first experience with an online auction. A little worried about getting scammed, or poor quality, etc. The registration process was simple and quick. Bidding parameters were clear and notifications were quick once the bidding opened. Once we had won, Simpson Galleries made quick contact and assisted in locating shippers. We have received our print and the quality is exactly as communicated on their site. As we were looking for a very specific item, it took a while before the piece came up for auction. I highly recommend Simpson when you decide to make additions to your collection.

I sent them aat least four messages asking them to take the picture out of the frame so that it could be more easily packed and sent to France. I didn't expect them to be willing to do that, but at least I expected some answer. This way, I never buy from them again.

It is a large dragon robe. At the beginning it is hard to believe it could be sent safely. The auction house take care of it professionally and packed it in a safe way. Finally I received it after two months. Many thanks!

I have purchased 2 items from Simpson and have found them to be quite helpful and the auctions very smooth. I also have found UPS astoundingly good on small items. However, beware of sending freight...... the new freight company that bought UPS freight was an absolute nightmare!!! Weeks upon weeks of delays, difficulty reaching them, deceptive statements about deliveries, etc. I really did not think I was ever going to receive the painting. I would never do it again and will now stick to smaller items next time. However, I stress that Simpson themselves are fantastic and will definitely bid with them again!!

Very pleased with the two Japanese vases, shipping, however, is another story. Simpson does not have in house shipping. it was quite a chore to arrange shipping and QUITE expensive. Had I bought the vases on Ebay or from a gallery the shipping would have been less than half what I had to pay. II would call the shipper and leave messages, no one would ever answer or call back. Perhaps the EVEN MORE shipper might have been more responsive but the COST! Very nice item, but I will certainly will think before bidding again because of shipping problem. I have decided to stop bidding with Auction Houses where shipping is so TROUBLESOME and EXPENSIVE.

Simpson Galleries has a good variety of items in their auctions. I purchased a collection of framed prints and the photos for the auction accurately represented the condition of the items when I picked them up. The payment and in person pickup process was smooth and fast.
