Their condition report proved to be somewhat misleading in the object was far more scratched than they indicated. In the end it did not matter because the shipper either broke 2 pieces off the object retrieving from the auction house or shipping to Seattle and it was a total loss.

It's a very nice auction house in my area. If I'd have to give any regret, it would be that I wasn't able to attend in person. When I retrieve my items, the staff was very helpful and polite. They took care of my payment and loaded my car with the large items. I will try to attend the next one or with the ease of Live Auctions, place more online bids.

I can't answer because I don't know which auction house you are asking me to rate. I bid and buy at many auction houses via LiveAuctioneers (and other online venues).

I still have not received my painting. The shipping company continues to give me excuses on why the can't deliver the painting. The painting was picked up from the gallery the first week of March.

As I understand it not all auction houses charge large "buyers premiums". From that standpoint I was not very satisfied with the ultimate price I paid at this one. Otherwise I thought the overall auction was handled pretty efficiently and effectively.

Hard to pick up. Limited hours and not always there.

Although the auction house was very professional and handled the sale very well, they lack a sense of friendliness. A thank you would be in order I think.

It took me a week to get in touch with the shippers, it almost became a part time job and I was getting ready to leave town!

The owner of the auction house is very arrogant and reluctant to answer questions. To some degree, not very responsive.

Sadly I have been unable to find a carrier to ship my items to my address in Alaska. It is my own fault because I didn’t realise that Simpson didn’t ship the items for the bidders. I am going to have to forfeit my items and simply abandon them there as I am in the UK, and nobody seems t be able to help me get them shipped within the USA. Sorry about that. My fault. Alexandra

I've ordered glass like that many times and never spent as much on shipping as I did this last time. For 6 pounds I was billed $60.00

payments terms should have been stated on auction site.

I purchased 2 chairs that were catalogued as 18th century Georgian chairs. When I went to pick them up, I realized they were 19th century or even perhaps 20th century. Blatant misleading description. I was so mad that I didn't say anything because I was afraid I would start yelling so I just took the chairs and left. I have found that most auction houses that give the wrong description will just say that they advise you to inspect the lot in person before you bid. If they are crooked enough to mislead you with the description, they will not give you your money back. I'm glad that Live Auctioneers at least cares enough to ask.

i just received the mother-of-pearl inlay ink box 20 minutes ago. well, i didn't know it practically falls apart with a touch of finger!! i don't mind the condition of this item, as it's beautiful and old and flaws are expected. but pls in the future write or indicate in the description that there are such flaws (we online bidder won't know what to ask, not seeing the item on site). if people weren't careful when just received new delivery, it could really just falls apart so badly and it's unrepairable. and that won't be a happy experience for any one!
