No, that isn't true. The last photo shows the scuffing on the stone's edges as plain as day, even without the extreme magnification possible in the photos.

Not real gold
The ring was stamped 18k, but was not tested by the auction house and ended up being brass. I won’t be bidding in any future auctions.

Good photos for items purchased
I was attracted to both the ring and the pendant. Ring fits well. Pendant will require a chain, but I like Buddhist images and the pagoda is as pictured. Took a while to arrive, but worth the wait!
