shipping cost
twice liveauctioneer has deleted my reviews because I complained about their high cost for shipping; I have started to use the auction houses or UPS for shipping and the cost is more than half to a third of what liveauctioneer charges!!

Hi Peter-I am not sure if LIve Auctioneers is deleting things-as an auctionhgouse we can not do that. Live Shipping has been frustrating for buyers and sellers. Please select "buyer arranged" and we can do our standard in house shipping in which we will compare USPS, FedEx and UPS and use the cheapest rates like we have been for 15 years. This will not involve Live Auctioneers./Live Shipping.

Shipping with Live Auctioneers is UNAFFORDABLE
I was charged over $200 to ship a 40 "cardboard advertisement weighing about a pound. It arrived in good condition but if we hadn't been home, it would have been ruined. It was raining that day, and the UPS driver left the (cardboard) package on the wet porch floor. I should have learned from my first experience with Live Auctioneers shipping, which cost me over $100 for shipping a single 8-oz glass.

You were refunded 174.28 pm April 12th. We sent you messages regarding this. Please read below. Live Shipping has been frustrating for buyers and sellers. They have not given sellers a choice-we have to offer it. As a buyer you have a choice-you can select buyer arranged or in house shipping. In our case we do the packaging either way as it is 45 minutes to any packing company. We have been doing shipping for 15 years and ship over 100 boxes a week. We have software that will compare USPS, UPS and FedEx and we will use the cheapest option. Live shipping only allows us 1 carrier-in our case it is UPS which on medium to small boxes is typically more expensive than USPS. Their software/AI is using the lot measurements we enter in the description to calculate box size and weight. They purchase the label and we print it. They have of course are also taking a cut. Thus the expense is higher. It does ok on orders with only 1 lot, but when there are multiple lots it often puts each lot in a box. It is automatically adding this to the invoice if the buyers select Live shipping. Once paid the label automatically generates. We have been told that Live Shipping was created in response to buyers wanting a 1 step checkout. They want to pay for shipping and items all at once. I don't think most buyers are understanding how it works. Ask the auction house you are bidding with and discuss your options. We will be happy to ship directly next time!

This old Vintage Winchester Ammo wooden crate it wonderful. It is exactly as stated in the description, and I could not be more pleased. Love this auction!
Very responsive to inquiries and helped me save money by eliminating extra items I didn't want. Always happy with this auction and they never try to grab you on the shipping costs. They often have some pretty terrific dolls and I always enjoy their auctions. Highly Recommended!

Item was well packaged and taken care of. Good folks to work with. Would definitely use again.
Most Importantly SHIPPING for online orders were very well priced, no extra "handling" charges. Being out of state and only able to participate in auctions that offer inhouse shipping because of others way overcharging these folks are more than fair. Will buy from them again.

Poor Picture Quality
The quality of the pictures did not do the comics justice. Comics were in worse shape than pictured. Higher res photos as well as closer pictures should be a requirement. One book when arrived had marks down the middle that did not show in the pictures, while others had ticks and tears that were also not visible.

There were 17 images of this lot that showed front and back of each comic. They were not listed in excellent or pristine condition but were typical for age. We do not typically remove every comic from sleeves, time to inspect every page of every issues is just not here. We are sorry you are disappointed. Catalogs are posted for 2 weeks which does allow for plenty of time to ask questions or request additional information.

These folks were the best I have experienced.
These folks were the best I have experienced. I got some deals that were so good i was skeptical but they turned out to be the real deal.
