Do not believe the photo of the lot
The photo of the itam was untrue and misleading. In reality, the painting is much darker. Also, the date of the artist's death seems to be false. It is hard to believe that in the 19th century the artist could live for almost 100 years. Most sources give different years of his death. The auction house should check such things.

Good, in general
Slightly off put with the shipping charges. It seems that the auction houses might make an extra buck on the shipping. I normally wouldn't mind it, but when you andd that to a 25-30 % premium, it becomes annoying. That being said, the packaging was outstanding, so who knows? Maybe I'm the one not knowing what goes on in the shipping industry, although I get a lot of other things for my business. Overall, good experience, with people answering calls and/or calling back. That was clearly appreciated.:))

Thanks for your feedback. We are happy that you appreciate the way your paintings were packed and handled. In regards to our shipping pricing-we assure that they are at most equal or often are less than market pricing. Auction houses are not traditional online stores. They sell items on behalf of consignors for a small commission. This commission does not include the costs of packaging and shipping the items. These services are provided separately for the buyer, and they are charged accordingly. Shipping cost is not just transportation. It consists of packing materials cost, time and labor involved. In the past few years the cost to ship has become 20-30 % more expensive due to the high inflation. Our shipping prices are posted in advance-they are all outlined in each lot description. If there are any questions or concerns-we are always there to respond. It is a convenience for our clients to get their purchases handled and shipped efficiently and in a timely manner. Another thing to highlight is that our in-house shipping is always optional. Anybody is welcome to arrange their own shipping or local pick up. Best regards, Broward AG

Easy transaction
They have made purchasing and shipping so easy. Knowing the price of shipping in advance is outstandng. VERY fast delivery and well packed. Unlike many of the Live sellers, the post sale process is drama free without having to find a shipper and get a quote etc. Highest regards.

Excellent Experience
I am happy to share that I had an excellent experience purchasing an original watercolor painting from Broward Auction Gallery. The painting arrived exactly as described and photographed. The painting was also packed extremely securely for shipping. (In fact, it was packed so securely that it took me about 20 minutes to remove it from its packaging!) It was especially helpful to see the shipping cost listed with the description of the lot; having this knowledge * before * bidding on the painting made it much easier for me to calculate how much I was willing to bid. I would highly recommend Broward Auction Gallery, and I look forward to purchasing from them again in the future!

Kudos to the shipping Dept
My beautiful paintings arrived a few days ago and are everything I had hoped for. The detailed pictures and descriptions were spot on. The packing — wow, superb job, not a scratch. It took me a good 15 minutes to get them out of the sturdy box and wraps. Just so well done. I'm not an auction buyer, and I was a bit scared. In this instance, for me with this Gallery, it was a big win!

Great auction house with amazing selections, always.
They have wonderful and interesting selections and never seem to disappoint. Very pleasant people to deal with and local pickup is somewhat pain free. This is in no way reflective on Broward Auction Gallery: They're located in a small complex whose office numberings are a bit out of sequence, but by no means too difficult to locate. Looking forward to a continued relationship.

I love bidding in Broward's auctions. I have found that their descriptions and photographs are very accurate representations of the items they are selling. Their in-house shipping is the best, and I love that the shipping costs are listed up front and are extremely reasonable. In all, there are no unwelcome surprises, just delight.
