I understand this was a new vendor so there were some teething problems i. e. delay with shipments-however vendor could have been more proactive in communicating what was happening. Also the promised tracking number was never sent, the item just arrived on my doorstep one day.

Usually I pass on making comments if they tend to be negative but this is the exception. Items were posted as antique but can't be verified (that's fine). The company, Prestine Gems, claims to be operating in the U. S. but once the invoice arrived it was from a company operating out of India and a India tax was added to the billing (we do not bid on auctions outside the U. S.) and believe we were deceived. When we tried to contact the company about this, their responses were vague and evasive. We chose not to complete the purchase and remain confident this was the right decision.
