This sale features a very good selection of early American historical documents, including autographs, correspondence and letters, presidential portrait prints, and a valuable copy of a mid 19thC Declaration of Independence. More interesting sub-groups within this auction include a nice lot of paperweights (one Paul Stankard), a collection of realistic fruits and vegetables, and a very good and valuable ancient Byzantine/Roman artifact selection. Among contemporary items: a grouping of Venetian 1980s masquerade ball masks and masquerade costumed figurines, each one hand modeled and painted. As with all our sales, there is a collection of MCM furniture and art. A selection of pottery, porcelain, prints, and paintings are represented here. Also included is a small number of realistically carved wood shirts, shoes, and books, all Italian.
