Gregory Hake Auctions is owned by Gregory Hake (TCA Member 88-27229) living in Defiance, Missouri. Gregory Hake has experience selling collectible toy trains since 1989. The collectible toy trains and vintage toys to be sold at auction include Lionel, American Flyer, Marx, Ives, Dorfan, Tonka, Hot Wheels, Aurora, Revell, as well as other scales and toy trains, with both Prewar and Postwar items included in the online sales. Born in 1962 and receiving my first train set in 1966, the famed Lionel set No. 2270 Jersey Central Passenger Set, I became hooked on trains. After years of studying and serious collecting of Lionel pieces, I began offering Mint Lionel trains and boxes in 1984. Five years later, I founded Hake's Treasure Chest, the world's foremost trusted expert on Lionel empty boxes and Original MINT in Box trains. My passion for collectible toys expanded to include Hot Wheels, Tonka, Smith Miller, Arcade, GI Joe, other vintage collectibles, and baseball cards. I have shared my professional knowledge and expertise and contributed to publications such as The Lion Roars, Classic Toy Trains, Greenberg's Guide to Lionel Trains, TM Books and Magazine, and well-known auction houses around the country. For five years, I was the primary authenticator of Lionel Postwar for such an auction house in Indiana. Years of experience, reliability, and high standards have led collectors and hobbyists to trust me for expert advice, appraisals, and collectibles. Whether a hobbyist or a collector, you can be sure that Gregory Hake Auctions will only sell the best pieces. We will not mislead you to make a sale. We write all auction lot descriptions and grades with honesty and integrity. That means there are NO FAKES at HAKE'S and no reproductions in our listings. You will be purchasing items you will treasure for a lifetime when you buy from Gregory Hake Auctions. I embark on this venture with my wife, Dr. Deborah Hake. We look forward to serving your needs.

Great Auction
Hake auctions were fantastic. I’ve never dealt with the auction company that has such a low buyers premium as they do. They did take a little bit of time to get the items. Almost a month from when the auction ended to when I actually received the items. Although that could be attributed to the holiday season. I was extremely pleased with the items and the shipping cost. This is one of the least expensive purchases I’ve made of the last three years.
