For the DECORATIVE arts collector.
I blame myself for not doing the proper research on this Georgia O'Keeffe mixed media on paper lot and beleived that "In The Style Of" COULD mean by the actual artist. Three red flags were pointed out on this piece; 1) The signature is Not O'Keeffe 's, 2) The painting style does Not match O'Keefe and 3) The "Pioneers of American Abstraction" label (on verso) appears printed on thin cardboard and looks like something from a poster or mass-produced reproduction, not from a legitimate art exhibition. Also, the Andrew Crispo Gallery has a complicated history, and fake labels from it are known to circulate in the secondary market. The mixed media painting is likely a decorative student work done "In The Style Of" O'Keeffe and signed by someone imitating her good name. This was not the first disappointment that I have experienced with International Art Auction Gallery, in fact it is the eighth. I have purchased three other O'Keeffe' s, two Basquiat's, one Haring and one Klimt. ALL the listings lot descriptions state that the Provenance was from a "Private Collection", in otherwords an auction house entity that provides fraudulent reproductions. Also, beware of any lot that includes a Frank P. Garo, Forensic Handwriting Examiner Authentic Document-unfortunately, Mr Garo has a history of signing off on fraudulent signature comparisons. Not to worry though, International Art Auction Gallery is NOT alone in this practice.

Buyer Beware
Bid and won auction item, stated no Authentication from artists authority, painting is accompanied by a certificate. This certificate is from some handwriting expert who said Van Gogh signature was his so art work is legit. Went to get an appraisal as they are giving an estimated price of 35k to 40k. Appraiser laughed at the hand writing experts letter, said he has no authority to claim it is legit and then laughed at the estimated value. He states it may be worth 1k maybe a little more if it had true artist signature. Straight up scam auctioneer and items ship from Lima, Peru instead of UK where they are located. Also payments only accepted thru PayPal which should have alerted me instantly. If you looking for good fake items this is definitely the place just don’t bid over $500 on anything!

Advertised and listed as Location Oxford, UK, sent from Peru!
Why does this auctioneer (International Art Auction Galleries) advertise an address as HB Allen House in Oxford, UK (link to auctioneer) and the listing states "Item located in Oxford UK" then it posts from Peru, this is completely misleading and false advertising and should not be permitted, the same name auctioneer with slightly different spelling also operates a Miami site but these are also out of Peru, that's just false advertising-You have listed a prestigious building as the address is UK which is incorrect, that is actually illegal!

Fraud auction house!
Please stay away from this auction house. Here's why: 1/The description said the painting will ship from Oxford, UK but it shipped from Peru. 2/If you google Hammer Galleries (which had marked the painting I bought), the address in the sticker is different from what Google shows you.
