Block's Marble Auction #1118

Auction of 240 lots of high-quality antique and collectible Handmade and Machine Made Marbles and related items. Featuring the collection of William Taufic, winner of the blue ribbon in Home Activities at the 1969 Minnesota State Fair. Mr. Taufic's mother was an antique dealer he began going to flea markets and auctions in 1962 and buying marbles with the spare change his mother gave him. He collected until 1977. In 1969, he put together a display of his collection at the time and entered it in the Minnesota State Fair. He won the blue ribbon for Home Activities. That collection, as well as the blue ribbon, are included in this sale, as well as the other marbles he collected during that 15 year period. There are additional consignments from a half dozen other collectors in this sale. This auction will be held live at the Nutmeg Marble Collectors Club Show at the Radisson Hotel in Cromwell CT.
