1. GUARANTEE All items sold in this sale are sold in as is condition unless seller makes guarantee. All guarantees on consigned items are between the buyer and consignor and in no event shall the Museum or auctioneer be responsible for correctness, warranties, genuineness, or description of property. Though statements in this catalogue and those of the auctioneer have come from what are believed to be reliable sources, purchaser must understand he or she is buying property entirely upon his or her own examination and opinion. 2. METHOD OF PAYMENT cash(In House Only), certified or cashier check, bank money order, personal check accompanied by an irrevocable bank letter of credit presented on bank stationery, or pre-approved check. It is recommended that irrevocable bank letters of credit be submitted to the Museum in advance of the auction. Your item purchased will not be released until collected U.S. funds are received. RIGHT TO REJECT BIDS The auctioneer reserves the right to reject any bid or raise not commensurate with the value of the article being offered. 4. SUCCESSFUL BIDDER The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the purchaser. In the event of any dispute between the bidders, the auctioneer shall have absolute discretion as to who was the successful bidder or he may re-offer the disputed item for sale if he so wishes. 5. RESERVES Some items in this auction may carry a conservative reserve. Therefore, the auctioneer may bid on behalf of the owner or the Museum. The purchaser will be the highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer. Actual reserve figures are confidential. Estimates on any items may be obtained in advance by contacting the Museum. 6. BUYER PREMIUM All lots are subject to a 15% buyer premium to be paid by the successful bidder as part of the purchase price. The buyer premium directly benefits the Museum programs and services. 7. OWNERSHIP TITLE Ownership title passes on the fall of the auctioneer gavel. Thereafter, the property is at the sole risk of the buyer. Neither the seller nor the auctioneer shall be responsible for loss or any damage to any article due to theft, fire, breakage or any other cause whatsoever, however occasioned. 8. TAX All sales are subject to a 5% Maine Sales Tax (on purchase price), that will be collected at time of payment unless a current sales tax-exempt certificate is presented. Items transported by common carrier out of Maine are not subject to sales tax. 9.UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE All transactions will be conducted according to Maine law and Title II, Section 2-328 of the Maine Uniform Commercial Code. The Auctioneer reserves the right to refuse any bid. 10. SHIPPING: All your shipping needs can be handled for both large and small items. Packing and shipping of purchases is solely arranged at your discretion. All merchandise purchased on site must be packed, transported And/or removed by the purchaser at his own risk immediately after the sale, unless other arrangements have been made for storage and shipping. ACCEPTANCE Bidding on any item indicates your acceptance of these terms.

Items offered are part of a Live Auction held at the Museum. Items are offered in numerical order and are auctioned at a pace of approximately 85 lots per hour. Please note eBay's Time Remaining time stamp IS NOT an accurate reflection of the hour at which the lots will be offered. Absentee bids left on eBay are executed from a proxy computer terminal in the room against other Internet bidders. Other competitive bids include bidders on the telephone, in the room, and left bids with the auctioneer. Tie bids may occur between eBay absentee bidders and other bidders at the sale or otherwise. In the event of a tie bid, the auctioneer has sole discretion to award the lot to the high bidder of his choosing-- This will most often be the floor bidder.
