Cody Old West Auction 2007

Cody Old West Auction returns to Cody, Wyoming for its 18th year June 21, 2007 at the Cody Auditorium. THURSDAY'S AUCTION Highlights feature important historical material including cowboy gear of Iron Mountain, Wyoming rancher, rare Buffalo Bill Wild West lithograph, GS Garcia presentation saddle, rare offering of Molesworth western furniture, Luis Ortega braided items. Will James, Frank Tenney Johnson, ES Paxson, Herman Hansen, Nick Eggenhofer, and Edward Borein are among artists represented plus contemporary artists Joe Beeler, Dave Powell, Harry Jackson, John Moyers. As always the mainstay of the Cody sale is quality spurs, bits, saddles, chaps, hats and other cowboy or cowgirl regalia. Makers represented: G.S. Garcia, Visalia, F.A. Meanea, RT Frazier, GA Bischoff, Saddles include the personal Edward H Bohlin show saddle of Hollywood icon and past owner of Bohlin Saddlery, Snuff Garrett. We will be offering a very rare tintype of the infamous Will Bill Hickok, gambling and western saloon items, horn furniture, early photography, anything relating to the wild west. Firearms include Colt Single Actions, Winchester and Sharps rifles, factory engraved Colt Army along with gun leather by makers Meanea, Gallup. Fine 1880's-1920's beaded and quilled Native American items along with decorative as well as historic Indian textiles, baskets. FRIDAY, June 22, beginning at 6pm, the EVENING AT THE BUFFALO BILL dinner & auction, in conjunction with the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, WY.
