Terms and Conditions:
By participating in this auction, buyers and bidders acknowledge that they have read and understood our Terms & Conditions and hereby agree to abide by them.
1. Buyer's Premium. A buyer's premium of 15% is added to the hammer price of each sold lot.
2. Methods of Payments: for the purposes of this sale we will only accept bank wire transfer or cash. Contact us to make payment arrangements. We reserve the right to refuse certain types of payment.
2b.) Payment Due: Seller will contact the Buyer within three (3) days of the completion of the auction. Complete payment is due upon receipt of notification of a successful bid and must be paid by the Buyer no later than 7 days after an invoice is received.
2c.) Title shall pass to the Buyer once payment in full has been made, and funds have cleared in Sellers account. 2d.) All shipping charges will be borne by the Buyer. Any item that has not been paid within 7 days after the receipt of the notification may be put back on the auction block for sale. Any buyer that does not make payment will automatically be blocked from future auctions.
3. Winning Bid: The highest bidder shall be the buyer, and if any dispute arises between two or more bidders, the auction coordinator shall decide the buyer. We are not responsible for any technical issues or bids placed "by mistake."
4. Shipping & Packing: We will ship anywhere allowed by current United States laws for packages originating in the USA. Buyer pays shipping and insurance cost to cover the amount of the purchase and associated fees. We will calculate the shipping price at the end of the sale. Items can also be picked up at our location in Ft. Lauderdale, FL at no charge. For any questions please inquire before committing to purchase.
5. Vat and other taxes. The buyer is responsible for any value added tax, sales tax, import tax or any other tax assessed as a result of the purchase of an item or lot.
6. The seller warranties that if the seller is not the owner of the auctioned item, has the permission of the owner to sell the lot, and to transfer ownership of the item or lot to the buyer without any restrictions.
7. Right to Refuse Sale: William Bock Fine Art reserves the right to refuse any sale due to unforeseen circumstances. Misrepresented item, withdrawn consignment, etc. In the event of a refused sale for which payment has already been received, a full refund will be issued equal to the purchase price of the given piece.
8. Withdrawal Prior to Sale: William Bock Fine Art reserves the right to withdraw any property before the sale and shall have no liability whatsoever for such withdrawal. All starting bids and estimates are subject to change before the start of the auction.
9. Warranty of authenticity.
If buyer questions the authenticity of the lot, subject to the terms below, we will refund the purchase price paid, (our "authenticity warranty"). The terms of the authenticity warranty are as follows:
(a) It is provided for a period of 6 months from the date of the sale.
(b) The authenticity warranty does not apply if the Heading either matches the generally accepted opinion of experts at the date of the sale or draws attention to any conflict of opinion.
(c) The authenticity warranty does not apply if the lot can only be shown not to be authentic by a scientific process which, on the date we published the Sale Particulars, was not available or generally accepted for use, or which was unreasonably expensive or impractical.
(e) The benefit of the authenticity warranty is only available to the original buyer shown on the invoice for the lot issued at the time of the sale; and only if the original buyer has owned the lot continuously between the date of sale and the date of claim. The warranty is not transferable to anyone else.
(f) In order to claim under the authenticity warranty you must: give us written details of any claim within 6 months of the date of sale, and obtain the written opinions of two recognized experts in the field of the item mutually agreed by the buyer and William Bock Fine Art in advance; confirming that the item is not authentic.

In addition, William Bock Fine Art reserves the right to obtain additional opinions at our expense. This authenticity warranty if exercised under the terms described herein shall result in the cancellation of the sale and a refund of the purchase price paid by buyer to seller. Seller will not, under any circumstances, be required to pay you more than this total amount.
