This auction also contains one of the finest selections of pottery offered in years. A large Human Effigy, Spotted Painted Bottle and Panel Bottle (all pictured in Hathcock's Ancient Indian Pottery book accompany some rare effigy forms (Rabbit and Donut shaped) from the Kevin Farmer Collection. Gilbert Cooper continues to thin down his collection with additions of several documented pieces. One of the finest Knobbed Lunate Bannerstones ever found will be sold (pictured in Lutz). Several fine Hopewell pieces are in the auction, including a Monitor Base Pipe and large Hardstone Celt. One of the finest auctions of the year.
