Purely Matchbox 4
Following the success we have had with the previous auctions we are now proud to present Purely Matchbox 4, another 500 lots of high quality vintage Matchbox items from the 1950's through to the 1980's. This auction not only includes rare and unusual items but also incorporates a huge selection of lots with variations of the same model, giving the collector a chance to compare differences and acquire some sought after items. Our next sale, Purely Matchbox 5 will be Sunday 26th October 2008 at 11:00am GMT and we are already taking items for that sale, if you have Matchbox items you would like to sell please email us at info@thematchboxforum.co.uk, it costs nothing to enter items for auction and just 10% commission if the item sells. On-line bidders will pay just 15% commission with INSURED postage paid at cost, winning bidders to be notified within 7 days of end of auction. All bids up to 100GBP are in 5GBP increments, also bids between 100GBP and 300GBP are in 10GBP increments. Finally above 300GBP all bids will be in 20GBP increments regardless of the amount the item gets bid up to. NOTE: Regarding online bidding, we would advise anyone placing commission bids through eBay or LiveAuctioneers to do so at least 2 hours before the start of the auction to avoid disappointment. This is due to the nature of the LiveAuctioneers system which does not register bids placed within the 2 hours immediately prior to the auction start time, all of which is out of our control.

Terms & Conditions
The highest bidder known to the auctioneer at the fall of the hammer shall be the buyer. In the event of a dispute, the auctioneer has absolute discretion and the decision of the auctioneer will be final. Thematchboxforum has endeavoured to catalogue and describe items as accurately as possible, keeping in mind that the items offered were toys which have now become collectibles. We have described some unused models as having tiny nicks instead of mint, these are almost always of factory origin. Assessments of items must be regarded as opinion only; all items sold as is.
Payment Options:
Thematchboxforum will accept the following options as payment: Credit card and PayPal, certified or pre-approved personal UK cheque, no foreign cheques accepted. Also currency in UK Pounds Sterling, US Dollars or Euros, all must be sent by registered mail, we will not be held liable for any lost payments.
Buyers Premium/Shipping Charges:
Pre-Sale Bids will be accepted via Live Auctioneers online catalogue. We will also accept email commission bids at our website. This website is for members only and allows commission bids to be left for items. All commission bids left through our website or by email must be received by 5:00PM latest on the Wednesday prior to the sale. Pre-sale bids will be executed on your behalf in the room. Thematchboxforum act as proxy to purchase the lot on your behalf at the lowest amount possible. Please furnish Thematchboxforum with the item lot number, description and maximum bid amount desired. Pre-sale bids with odd figures will be rounded up to the nearest increment. Advanced payment is not necessary for pre-sale bids unless you are not known to us, in which case please contact Thematchboxforum prior to the sale to let us know your intended method of payment should you be the successful bidder. We will do our best to accommodate your request; however will not take responsibility for mistakes due to technical and/or human error. All winning bidders who use the website method will pay either 13% commission or 10% commission depending on method of payment. Payment by Credit Card and Paypal incurs 13% commission, payment by cheque or cash(In House Only) incurs 10% commission. Cheques must be accompanied by cheque guarantee card and we reserve the right to hold on to items until cheque clears. Returned cheques from our bank will incur a 25% charge of the initial amount. Shipping charges will be determined and absentee bidders will be notified within 7 business days of the auctions sale.
