Native American Single Owner Collection

Following the guidelines of Governor Wolf's Mitigation guidance for Montgomery County related to the COVID-19, Alderfer Auction will be postponing all live auctions. Due to this temporary change, this will be offered as an Online Only Auction. THIS IS NOW AND ONLINE ONLY AUCTION. Bid Online Only now and Tuesday, April 14th beginning at 10:00 AM. A diverse selection of artifacts that cross many collecting categories including Pottery, Tools and Weaponry, Beaded Accessories, Baskets and Textiles. Pottery includes Hopi, Acoma, Zia and is led by blackware pieces by Maria Martinez and other artisans. Tools and weaponry include stone axes, arrowhead and spear tips, fishing net weights, and war clubs. Beaded accessories are represented by a diverse collection of moccasins in both adult and child sizes with varying colors and designs and also includes gauntlets and bags. Baskets include an array of varying sizes, designs and origination. Textiles encompasses both rugs and blankets and also exhibits a diverse sampling of composition, design and size.
