Doyle at Home

The Doyle at Home auction on March 15 at 10am(est) will offer a broad range of property representing a number of prominent collections and estates. The sale showcases an array of quality American, English and Continental furnishings and art with moderate pre-sale estimates. Among the featured furnishings and decorations are a set of six Art Deco style faux zebra painted dining chairs including two armchairs (lot 1115), a graceful pair of Louis XVI style painted fauteuils (lot 1402), an unusual French bird box in the form of a Louis XV style commode (lot 1335), a handsome French regulator style clock (1399), a pair of Louis XVI gilt-bronze mounted covered urns, height 13 inches. (lot 1383), and a pair of Royal Dux porcelain figures of a shepherd and a shepherdess (lot 1178). Among the selection of paintings are William Williams’ “Misty Morning On The Lake” (lot 1051), an unusual double sided work by Thomas Clark entitled “Vermont Hills” and “Woman Bather, Study” (lot 1014), a 1925 “Floral still Life” by Robert Alexander Graham (lot 1027), a brown wash on paper attributed to Herman C. Thiem entitled “Rush Hour” (lot 1045), Ernest Stafford Carlos’ “A Young Scout’s Duty” (lot 1011), and “Life Under Water” by Circle of Harry Leslie Hoffman (lot 1030).
