PEI Summer Arts Auction 2010

1.) Gallery 18 Ltd. is the "auctioneer". 2.) The auctioneer has attempted to describe all items in the catalog accurately. However, the auctioneer will not be held responsible for any errors or omissions. Prospective purchasers will have the opportunity to examine the lots prior to the sale. 3.) The auctioneer has the right to accept or reject any bids, and to establish the bidding increments. Gallery 18 Ltd. acts solely as the agent for the consignor. 4.) The auctioneer may reject any opening bid deemed to be too low. The auctioneer reserves the right to withdraw any lot from the sale. 5.) The purchaser of any lot will be the bidder who has conveyed the highest bid accepted by the auctioneer. The lot will be released to the purchaser upon proof of payment. 6.) Each lot sold is subject to applicable taxes. 7.) Each lot is sold "as is and "with all faults. 8.) Payment shall be made by Cash, Visa, Mastercard, Interac, or Certified check. The auctioneer may also accept Personal or Business Check with prior authorization. 9.) Lots are offered for sale subject to a reserve price established in advance between the auctioneer and the consignor. 10.) Gallery 18 Ltd. accepts absentee bids submitted by prospective purchasers who are unable to attend the live auction on the day of the sale. The auctioneer will bid on behalf of absentee bidders. However, the auctioneer will not be held responsible for errors or failures to execute absentee bids. 11.) Anyone attending Gallery 18 or The Carriage House does so at their own risk. They shall have no claim against Gallery 18 or The Carriage House for any personal or property damage that occurs while they are on the premises. 12.) The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse admission to any individual. The auctioneer reserves the right to accept or reject bids from any person. 13.) The laws of the province of Prince Edward Island shall be applied to any of these conditions, and to any purchase agreement.

Gallery 18 is required to collect GST or HST on all sales within Canada. Gallery 18 is also required to collect PST on sales within Prince Edward Island. Gallery 18 is not required to collect taxes on purchases to be shipped out of Canada.
