Russ Cochran's Comic Art Auction #71

For more than thirty years, Russ Cochran of West Plains, Missouri has been buying, selling and auctioning original comic art. Original comic art refers to the actual drawing done by the artist, which is then published in a comic book, a magazine, or a newspaper. For example, Charles Schulz' original drawing for a PEANUTS strip, or an original cover drawn for a TALES FROM THE CRYPT comic book, or a gag cartoon drawn for SATURDAY EVENING POST, or an editorial cartoon drawn for the CHICAGO TRIBUNE. The auction often includes animation art drawn for theatrical cartoons (SNOW WHITE, LADY AND THE TRAMP) or for TV cartoons (FLINTSTONES, SIMPSONS, etc). In all cases, these are the artists' original drawings being sold, not the printed reproductions.
