She was also a trustee of the Smithsonian National Board and Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington and on the Friends Council of the Newseum's First Amendment Society.
She has donated to the Smithsonian Institution, Phillips Collection, Washington Area Women's Foundation, Theatre Communications Group, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, and Public Relations Society of America. She was part of the capital campaign steering committee for the Contemporary American Theater Festival in Shepherdstown, W.V.
