REGISTRATION: Proper and complete online registration is required to bid. All bidders must provide name, address, phone number, and email address to register. A credit card (MC or Visa) is required to place a bid. The credit card will be validated before bidding access is granted and is the only acceptable form of payment. By registering, all bidders acknowledge having read and agree to be bound by the Auction Terms and Conditions. Bidders are not registered until they have been approved via e-mail by Cates Auction & Realty Co. BIDDING ONLINE: Absentee bidding is offered prior to AND live bidding during the live on-site auction. Absentee bids are not valid until bidder has received an approval e-mail from Cates Auction & Realty Co. Absentee bidding is closed 24 hours prior to start of live auction. BUYER'S PREMIUM: There is a 10% buyer’s premium charged on items purchased through online bidding. The buyer’s premium is calculated on the high bid. The purchase price paid by the successful online bidder is the sum of the winning bid and the buyer’s premium. PAYMENT: The acceptable forms of payment are MasterCard and Visa. The credit card submitted at registration will be charged for all purchases and shipping/handling (if applicable) at the close of the auction and a paid receipt will be emailed to the buyer. PICK-UP OR SHIPPING: Successful online bidders will be asked in their confirmation email if they will be picking up their items or prefer to have them shipped. When no preference is indicated, items will be shipped according to the process below. Shipping is only available for addresses in the continental U.S. PICK-UP: Buyers choosing this option must pick up their items at Cates Auction & Realty Co., Inc (1440 Iron Street, N. Kansas City, MO 64116) on Wednesday, July 27th, from 12 to 4pm. A paid receipt and proof of identification are required. Packing and loading services are not offered. SHIPPING/HANDLING: Buyers choosing this option for Medals will receive their items via United States Postal Service at the billing address provided at online registration (continental U.S. only). Insurance is available on request at published USPS rates. Shipping cost is charged to the credit card provided at online and is calculated on exact charges through USPS. Winning Buyers for Lamps, Furniture and Swords will need to make their own shipping arrangements. Below is a list of shippers YOU can contact. Once contacted they will come and pick up your item(s), pack and ship it. The Auctioneer and seller reserve the right to retain unclaimed items and dispose of them in whatever manner they see fit, including resale.
