Modern Design

Hindman's Modern Design auction will feature American and European design spanning the 20th and 21st century. The first section of the auction features an outstanding selection of works from American luminaries including a sculptural cabinet by Paul Evans, coffee tables from Paul Frankl and Edward Durell Stone, together with suites by Karl Springer and Philip and Kelvin LaVerne. The American Craft portion will showcase works by Ruth Duckworth, Betty Woodman, Jun Kaneko, Arline Fisch, June Schwarcz, and Richard DeVore. European highlights from the sale include iconic designs by Hans Wegner, Franco Albini, Afra and Tobia Scarpa, Luigi Caccia Dominioni, Cini Boeri, and Gae Aulenti. The sale is rounded off with an important selection of Studio Art Glass from esteemed makers Toots Zynsky, Harvey Littleton, Stanislav Libensky and Jaroslava Brychtova, Michael Glancy, and William Morris.
