I love Freeman's and was looking forward to receiving this slipper chair. When I received it, the seat has a massively protruding spring and is completely misshapen and not functional for sitting. Not only was this not represented in the photo (of which there was one) but it was not even mentioned in the description, which usually truthfully captures the condition of the piece. It was an unfortunate surprise.

Although Freeman's buyers premium is on the high side of auctions I did get a goodnpricenon the item I won. They don't do shipping which adds an additional process to an on line purchase but the local shipping agency was reasonable and easy to work with. Only reasons for not 5 stars is the 35 % premium and not handling shipping.

Bid was won on November 22 today is December 23 and still have not received an invoice

this auction was a huge mess. they canceled the results. shameful

While I was aware of their exorbitant buyers premiums, what was astonishing to me was the sheer number of ways they came up with to tack another fee on. By the time they were done I could hardly imagine any way they could have made this gun purchase any more miserable because the cost of my firearm had increased by 50 %. But never underestimate the illogical reasoning power of Freeman's | Hindman because they are experts at financial extorsion. Now wait for it (drum roll please) They hade the unmitigated gall to charge me $200.00 dollars for shipping. This brings the total fees to well north of 75 % of the winning bid. At this point I don't feel like I won anything, In fact I think I may have lost my virtue because certain areas in the posterior of my body were feeling extremely sore about now. Talk about sucking the joy right out of a purchase. Needless to say If I see Freeman's | Hindman's name on anything for sale I will turn and run, not walk away!

This auction house requires you to make payment via their website, not directly on liveauctioneers (even though I provided my credit card information), and also charges an large shipping fee via their website. The most difficult process that I ever had with an auction house. New bidders, please consider these barriers prior to bidding.

Shipping with ARTA has been a disaster! The item has still not shipped after 3 weeks in in spite of over $600 shipping cost. Communication has been very poor & the link provided for the shipping company (ARTA) does not work. I still have no idea whether I will receive my item. DO NOT TRUST!

They contumaciously ignore the Illinois sales tax exemption. I have tried to get Hindman to remove the sales tax from the invoice because newspapers are not subject as per TITLE 86: REVENUE CHAPTER I: DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE PART 130 RETAILERS 'OCCUPATION TAX SECTION 130.2105 SELLERS OF NEWSPAPERS a) Sellers of Newspapers, 2) Sales of newspapers and magazines are not subject to the tax because of the newsprint and ink exemption They are being contumaciously obstinate. I have been ready and willing to pay when they correct the invoice. There is no exception to the exemption.
