Our August evening sale beings with a lovely offering of fine Venetian Glass, including a set of Enamel Decorated Glass Stemware and Table Ware, 49 pieces, and a Jack-in-the-Pulpit Vase, c. 1900. The sale moves on to showcase a unique Indian Silver Three Piece Tea Set and a lot of Flatware featuring two manufacturers, Frank Smith Silver Co. and Whiting (Division of Gorham), in "Federal Cotillion" and "King Edward" patterns; A large selection of jewelry is available, over 75 lots, which is highlighted by a 5.43 carat Natural Sapphire Ring with 1.40 carats of diamonds, set in 14 kt White Gold. Fine Art is also prevalent throughout this sale, over 50 lots, including Woodblock Prints by a variety of artists such as Kiyoshi Saito (Japanese, 1907-1997), Hashimoto Okiie (Japanese, 1899-1993), Shuzo Ikeda (Japanese, 1922-2004), Kaoru Kawano (Japanese, 1916-1965), and a work after Hiroshige. Friday's sale also offers a unique collection of First Edition and Author signed books on Aviation, including "The Fun of It" by Amelia Earhart, as well as Poetry and Illustrated Children's books.
