ARE SOLD BASED ON SIGNATURE ONLY. IT IS FOR YOU TO DETERMINE THE AUTHENTICITY OF EACH PIECE OF ARTWORK BEFORE TIME OF PURCHASE. Bidders who bid from off site and are not present at the live auction or preview understand and acknowledge that they may not be able to inspect an item as well as if they examined it in person. It is the Bidder's responsibility to determine condition, age, genuineness, value or any other determinative factor. Sterling Auction House shall endeavor to describe in detail each item and any pertinent information about it. Sterling Auction House will not be responsible for any errors or omissions in the description of the merchandise unless it is a material and intentional misrepresentation of the item itself. Bidder agrees that everything is sold as is and that they may not return any item they purchase. All payments are to be made within three (3) days of the auction. Payments accepted are: Cash, Traveler's check, MasterCard, Visa, Amex, Personal or Business check. Sterling Auction House (SAH) reserves the right to hold item(s) until check clears. This applies to first time buyers paying by check. The purchaser is legally responsible for payment. Potential buyer's of expensive lots may wish to discuss payment prior to auction. All items must be paid for prior to items being picked up for shipping. Failure to complete payment may result in legal proceedings and most definitely will result in non-issuance of a bidding number in the future. A $30.00 fee will be added for any returned checks. If a check fails to clear after the second deposit, the purchaser will be responsible for any and all fees incurred during the collection process. All purchases are subject to the New York sales tax of 8.125%, unless the purchaser possess a Tax Exemption/Resale Number or is out of state. Sterling Auction House is providing Internet pre-auction and live bidding as a service to Bidder. Bidder acknowledges and understands that this service may or may not function correctly the day of the auction. Under no circumstances shall Bidder have any kind of claim against Sterling Auction House or anyone else if the Internet service fails to work correctly before or during the live auction. Sterling Auction House will not be responsible for any missed bids from any source. Internet bidders who desire to make certain their bid is acknowledged should use the proxy-bidding feature and leave their maximum bid 24 hours before the auction begins. Sterling Auction House reserves the right to withdraw or re-catalog items in this auction.
