Bidding In Person - bidding in the room: You will need to register for each auction. When you have provided us with your name, address and contact details on a Buyer Registration Form and provided us with identification as required you will be given a bidding number. By Commission: If you cannot attend the auction we are happy to execute written bids on your behalf. Bids can be emailed, telephoned through or handed in. This service is free and confidential. Commission bids will be executed as cheaply as is allowed by other bids and reserves, if applicable. Where more than one bid of the same value has been received, the first taken will have precedence. By Telephone: We can provide a telephone bidding facility to prospective purchasers who cannot attend the auction. This service is limited so bidders should request a telephone line at least 24 hours before the auction. We do not operate this service for our General Auctions. Buyer Registration: For purchasers unknown to us the following identification is required: A copy of either passport or driving license along with a copy of a recent bank statement or utility bill. These can be presented in person, faxed to 01978 353264 or emailed to auctions@wingetts.co.uk Live Internet Bidding: Go to www.liveauctioneers.com or call our office on 01978 361538 (UK) for details on registering to bid live. This will attract an extra 3% to the premium for use of this service. Successful bidders should contact us within 24 hours of auction ending and payment should be arranged within 5 working days or a dispute WILL be opened. Buyers Premium is charged at 17.5% + VAT. Methods of Payment Cash (Sterling) - provided that the total payable does not exceed the equivalent in Sterling of Eu15,000. Recognised bank debit card. Direct bank transfer. Recognised credit card (incurs a 2% transaction fee). We do not take American Express. Credit Card payments over £500 must be made in person. A bank cheque or banker's draft with suitable identification. see Buyer Registration. Release of Goods Goods will only be released when full, cleared payment has been made, and upon sight of a paid invoice. Goods will only be released to a third party on production of written authority from the purchaser and photo identification. Post and Packing / Courier Services We will pack small, non - fragile items for posting. The cost of postage must be paid before items are dispatched. For larger or fragile items we can recommend various courier firms that customers may contact to arrange collection. Please note conditions for release of goods.
