Galerie Zacke is delighted to present Fine Japanese Art - a live auction featuring 600 exceptional lots that span every era of Japan's rich artistic heritage.

The first 360 lots are featured in our printed catalog, beginning with Bronzes & Meiji metalwork, including a superb selection of silver works and notable pieces by celebrated masters such as Kitagawa Hokusen I and Jomi Eisuke II. These are followed by an outstanding group of samurai artworks, showcasing works by the Myochin family, intricate jizai okimono, exquisite tsuba from the Kotler Collection, and a distinguished array of armors, helmets, and swords.

Buddhist art is equally well represented, with important works from the Heian and Kamakura periods, as well as exceptional sculptures from the Muromachi and Edo periods. The sale continues with outstanding examples of cloisonné, ceramics, and lacquer, complemented by a refined selection of flower baskets, and concludes with paintings, screens, and shin-hanga woodblock prints.

Lots 361- 600 feature additional highlights, including fine lacquerworks, sagemono with many exquisite netsuke, and further sword fittings.

The auction also includes numerous works with distinguished provenances, among them Philip & Nancy Kotler, Alan and Simone Hartman, Patrick Liebermann, Carl Opperman, Alan Bostock, Robert Crowder, Hugo Burge, Andrew Cunningham Ware, Friedrich Carl Duisberg, Jules Speelman, Jay and Mary Jones, John Hay Whitney, Paul and Helen Anbinder, Hersleb Vogt, Jay R.
