Wright is proud to present Knife Fork Spoon: Modernist Flatware from the Collection of Dung Ngo, bringing together more than thirty cutlery sets by influential designers including Gio Ponti, Eliel Saarinen, Michael Graves, Tapio Wirkkala, Arne Jacobsen, and more. Spanning nearly a century of modernist innovation, the collection reveals how these intimate objects have become vehicles for experimentation with form, material, and function. The auction coincides with the release of Knife Fork Spoon: Modernist Cutlery 1900?2025 from August Editions, as well as the Denver Art Museum's exhibition Knife Fork Spoon: Everyday Tools, Extraordinary Design (Lots 100-132 begin at 10am CT). Following this session, at 11am CT Design offers an exceptional selection of examples from the discipline's most renowned figures. Leading lots include a Harry Bertoia Sonambient, an exquisite glass vase from Carlo Scarpa, and a range of furnishings from George Nakashima, along with examples from Fran?ois-Xavier Lalanne, Paul Evans, Ettore Sottsass, Bae Se Hwa, Ron Arad, Toshiko Takaezu, Chris Schanck, and more (Lots 200-414).
