Buyers must accept the following Terms & Conditions to participate in That Was Then live auctions. By signing up as a bidder, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Terms & Conditions and agree to abide to them.
A processing fee will be added to the successful bid price and is payable by the purchaser as part of the total purchase price. This fee is to cover costs relating to payment method, handling for shipping, and other miscellaneous costs. The fee is 8% for items under $1,000.00 and 6% for items over $1,000.00 and over. Florida sales tax of 6% will be collected and added to the invoice.
We accept Bank-issued Cashier's Checks, United States Postal Money Orders, and Paypal (most credit cards can be used through Paypal). We cannot accept personal checks or wire transfers. Bank or Cashier's checks or USPS Money Orders should be made payable to That Was Then, Inc. The address will be provided on the invoice. Payments are due and payable upon receipt of invoice. LiveAuctioneers will automatically notify you that you have won the auction. Invoices will follow within 2 days of auction end.
The Buyer is to pay all shipping costs and related fees including insurance and signature confirmation which will be required on all shipments. All items are traceable through the USPS website and if the Buyer is not available to sign for it upon delivery, he/she must make arrangements to pick it up or have it redelivered within 2 days of notification. Any problems with shipment must be addressed within 3 days of receipt to qualify for any special consideration. All shipping costs listed in the listings are for shipping within the contiguous (Continental) USA. Additional costs may apply for Hawaii and Alaska.
The highest bidder shall be the buyer and if any dispute arises between two or more bidders, the auction coordinator shall decide the buyer. We are not responsible for any technical issues or bids placed "by mistake". Buyers who reneg or fail to pay will be barred from further auctions from That Was Then and very possibly to all auctions through LiveAuctioneers.
That Was Then reserves the right to withdraw any property before the sale and shall have no liability whatsoever for such withdrawal. We reserve the right to accept or decline any bid.
INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS
Unfortunately, at this time we cannot accept bids from International Buyers. You may, however, email in advance of the auction date as some exceptions may apply. In those cases, we ship only through USPS Express Mail with full insurance declaration. All customs, VAT, or other fees applied by the destination country will be assumed by the Buyer with absolutely no liability to the Seller. We observe all legal customs rules and regulations with no exceptions.We cannot ship any type of gold or silver items or any other prohibited or restricted items such as ivory or tortoise shell.
